Role - Project Management of the demolition of the old buildings on site & the design & construction of the new premises.

Gary Cockram Hyundai established on the old site on the opposite corner in Christchurch in 1996. The site had served them well, but the service and sales had outgrown the old site. Dougal entrusted Pace Project Management to manage the project of their new showrooms on the opposite corner of Durham Street.

Initially the existing buildings needed to be demolished and the site of 13 different properties re-aligned for the new showroom and state of the art car service area to be constructed. The external LED signage, required a resource consent and is positioned to the north and east elevations for advertising. Pace Project Management, managed all the consultants, the city council, tendered the works and managed all the contractors to completion.

Construction works commenced on site March 2019. Overhead power lines were diverted to underground locations to allow construction of the superstructure to take place. All works were completed with Hyundai and Isuzu moving in, in November 2019, on budget and before the scheduled opening date.
